AXX provides teams to do projects that improve a company. We supply teams for short-term projects (typically one to ten months) or longer-term projects where our team works for you for years.
What we do
Our teams become an extension of you team – doing specific project work
- Strategy work: we do the work needed to help identify and evaluate the range of strategies available to you at a company, business line, or product level..
- Capital markets work: we do the work needed by companies to better tap debt and equity capital markets – by working to better align the organization with what capital markets investors are looking for. We often begin working at an early stage – in some cases one to two years before the company will go to the capital markets for large or complex transaction types. We cover equity – from venture capital to private equity to IPOs, and debt – from private credit to corporate bonds to securitization.
- Marketing and sales work: we do work needed to improve marketing and sales outcomes for companies.
- Technology work: we do the work needed to make good decisions about technology and to implement those decisions. This ranges from understanding business model critical technology changes like AI, to picking the best software for operations, to developing custom software.
How we work
- We work together to identify the objectives of the work that needs to be done, and based on this create targets and a scope of work.
- We manage the team on our side.
- You manage us based on results. We have well defined targets, and our contracts with you are generally highly flexible without long term tie-ins– giving you control over the overall engagement with us..
Examples of deliverables
- Strategy options presentations and investment memos for leadership to make decisions.
- “Living” investor consideration documents – presentations covering all the items that investors will consider when investing in the company – which forms a central document for senior leadership to keep updated. This document drives a lot of the company’s decision making, targets, strategic changes, and operational changes over time.
- Direct sales – new client deals.
- Custom built websites and customer-facing web applications.
When to use us
If you could improve your company with more people – either in the short term or longer term – but can’t hire additional people for this – either because it is a short term project, the work needs to be done faster than specialist hiring can happen, it is not possible to hire people for that specific task with enough certainty that they will be able to deliver what you need because of uncertainty around the project or people, or because capital or risk considerations do not make it possible to immediately hire new employees for this work.
