Strategy Work

Capital Markets Work
We do the work needed by companies to better tap debt and equity capital markets – by working to better align the organisation with what capital markets investors are looking for. We often begin working at an early stage – in some cases one to two years before the company will go to the capital markets for large or complex transaction types. We cover equity – from venture capital to private equity to IPOs, and debt – from private credit to corporate bonds to securitization.

- Capital strategy – we work on getting to the right corporate finance strategy for the firm – including the amounts and types of debt and equity that will best serve the company.
- Business – capital markets alignment. We work on mapping what each of the company’s investor types are looking for, and we work on helping to change the business where appropriate to better match capital market demand.
- Investor relations – we work to identify target new investors, to arrange meetings with those investors, and to build relationships with existing investors.
- Investment bank selection and management – we do the work to identify the best investment banks for companies’ needs. This includes the bulge bracket investment banks, but also regional and specialist investment banks with specific skill sets and investor bases. We help arrange Request for Proposal processes, negotiate fees and mandate letter terms, and act as a member of our client’s team during the deal.
